It's Not Too Late to Apply for the May CAP Exam
Did you miss the deadline to apply for the May CAP exam? Late applications will be accepted through close of business on February 29; a $50 late fee must be added to the initial processing and examination fees. If paying with a credit card, complete applications can be scanned and emailed to certification@iaap-hq.org.

New candidates will find the Certification Application and Employer's Statement/Job Function Forms on the IAAP web site.

Candidates for the Organizational Management specialty exam use the same application; however, an employer's statement is not needed. Only active CAP holders, and current CAP candidates may apply to take the Organizational Management specialty exam.

Eligible retake candidates need only submit the completed application and fees.

If you are planning to travel to EFAM this year, please note that District Caucuses will be Saturday night at 4:30 - 6 p.m. The Delegates Briefing last we heard will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Should I run for a Colorado Wyoming Montana Division Office?
This question may have either been brought to you or you may have considered it.  Here are some things to consider.  What offices have I served on in my Chapter?  What qualifications can I bring to the board as an asset? 

The major question you want to ask of yourself, is this something I believe I can do?  Don’t underestimate yourself!  Step outside of your comfort zone and step up to that plate!  How do you grow professionally?  You train, you learn and develop new skills.  This is part of being a board member!  It is just a new opportunity!  Give yourself a chance. 

Also, if you know of someone who would be a great board member, maybe this is the time to talk with them.  Some people don’t know they have it in them until they are asked or someone else tells them! IAAP allows for growth and training opportunities for members in many different ways.  This is only one. 

Check the CWM Handbook for qualifications and see what you might qualify for.  Where do you stand?  Jump in!  Take the bull by the horns and grow!  You can add it to your resume and include it on your Member of Excellence form!
