Anne has worked for the Hamilton Community Foundation for almost 24 years, where she is the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, providing senior-level support to the CEO, Board of Directors, committees and management team in a non-profit governance environment.
A proud member of the BurlOak Bay Chapter of IAAP and an enthusiastic Member of Excellence for the last four years, Anne has developed and strengthened her leadership skills by serving as chapter President (2010‑11), and by chairing the Program, Newsletter and Certification committees. In addition, she was recently appointed to a three-year term as a member of the Mohawk College Office Administration Program Advisory Committee.
Anne has successfully combined her strong writing skills with her creative flair, resulting in three well-received published articles: “10 Steps to Being a Pacesetter” (March/April 2012 OfficePro® magazine), “Cultivating Relationships” (July 2011 OfficePro®), and “Shorthand: A Lost Art or a Gem in your Professional Toolbox?” (May 2010 AdminAdvantage® magazine). Kathy Mashburn
I am a native of Huntsville, Alabama and moved to Madison when I was five years old. I grew up in Madison and graduated high school at Bob Jones High School.
After high school I attended J.C. Calhoun Community College for about a year. Then I got married and moved to Mobile, Alabama. While there, I had two beautiful children! I later divorced. But, while still in Mobile I attended Coastal Training Institute and received my diploma in Word Processing. (Does that take you back to the old days?!)
I eventually moved back to Madison, after 10 years in Mobile. I presently take care of my Mom and live in the same house where I grew up. And I now have four grandchildren too!
In February of 2011, I was laid off from my job as a Data Technician / Clerk III position with Dynetics Technical Services. This was due to lack of funding for the NASA contract. After several months, I found a position as an Administrative Assistant for Hampton Cove Christian Academy. And I was laid off from there after only six weeks. However, last week I found out that I will be working for Gray Research, Inc. in Huntsville, AL as a Customer Support SpeciaIist for the NASA community. I look forward to all that the International Association of Administrative Professionals entails! I presently serve on the Communications Committee of the Huntsville Chapter. I help with updating the Huntsville Chapter's website. I enjoy that very much! I will be working 3rd shift, so this “Dual Membership” will work well for me.
Welcome, Kathy, to the Cutting Edge Chapter!

Kimberly Laukala
I moved to O‘ahu in 2007 with my husband for his work and found my current position as an Executive Assistant to the EVP/CIO for Hawai‘i Pacific Health in October 2010. I love my position and my company. Although we are the largest private employer in the State, we continue to have a very warm Ohana (family) feeling. Yes we do say Aloha and Mahalo instead of Hello and Thank You.
I earned my CAP Certification this past November. I believe that learning should be a life-long journey, not a short lived chore. I am a primary member of the Hawai‘i IAAP Chapter. I was excited to find a virtual chapter which I feel will allow me to continue to grow and meet like-minded professionals. I look forward to getting to know everyone.
When I am not working, I take time to remember what makes Hawai‘i beautiful and try to get out and enjoy that beauty as much as possible.
A hui ho, Mahalo
Welcome to the Cutting Edge Chapter, Kimberly!
